Laura Aceña

Adjunct professor

Graduated in Food Science and Technology and in Chemical Sciences from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (years 2000 and 2002, respectively) and PhD from the Rovira i Virgili University (2011). Since 2005, he has been part of the research group "Instrumental Sensometry" and has participated in the group's teaching both at the Faculty of Oenology and at the Higher Technical School of Chemical Engineering of the URV. She was a lecturer between 2011 and 2016 and since 2016 she has been an adjunct professor.

His research is mainly focused on the chemical and sensory analysis of food: wine, beer, olive oil, nuts,..., and he is a specialist in the technique of chromatographic analysis with olfactory detection. In addition to participating as a researcher in all the competitive research projects of the iSens group since joining it, she has also participated in most of the transfer contracts signed with different companies in the food sector.
